Question regarding facebook pictures

Heres the hypothetical scenario: Your at a party where there is beer/ alc and a girl starts taking pictures that clearly show you are at a party where there is drinking. The next day you check your fb and see you were tagged in 1000 pics from the party. So heres the question- can you get in trouble (ex kicked off sports team) if your in the pics? Or do you have to be holding something of proof (ex a can) or can you get in trouble for just being in the picture album? and dont hate cause im sure a bunch of other people wanna know too
 
For how ABSOLUTELY RETARDED (yes I am bitter) school systems are nowadays, I am about 99% positive most schools will call you guilty by association and you will still get in trouble. You are warned.
 
well im guessing that its private and they cant do anything about it,, buttttt if you had a beer of somthing in your hand they might say somthing but how would they see?

i heard that facebook keeps a record of it and will give it to schools/law enforcement
 
exactly, my schools star quarterback got a 2 game suspension because he was in a picture at a party, yet didnt drink, even tho our punishment is kicking off the team they take it easy on a pride football shenanigans. tell that bitch you dont want to be tagged in the pictures, and just delete them if there is any question
 
It varies by schools... when I was in high school you had "10 minutes" to leave a party if there were drugs or alcohol there otherwise you would be considered guilty. Or you could just smash the camera of the facebook whore who put 1000 pictures up of a high school party.
 
They can still see you from other peoples pictures in the school. They will know who you are. Putting pictures of a high school party up is retarded and you should get them deleted.
 
yeah if your concerned get the broad to delete the pictures with you in them. there was an issue with the kids and the admin my senior year where the vice principle came upon some pictures from a party and all the kids who were involved parent's were called and informed that they were at the party.
 
definitely..this year a girl's mom (this particular girl didn't make the cheerleading team) sent in pics of girls at a party a few of the football kids were THERE, not holding anything and were suspended for a game
 
yes you can still definately get in trouble. 3 years ago our baseball team was going to win states and a few seniors went to an after prom party and pics got up on fbook. they werent drinking in the pics but our school still put them on athletic probation and they were 2 of our best pitchers so we lost states.
 
totally. post up anything like videos of animal brutality or pumping hookers while smoking a blunt, it doesnt matter because the school can only do one thing- congratulate you.
 
Solution: don't have facebook til college, like you were originally suppose to do.
 
how would that solve anything? seeing as the average person doesnt turn 21 till junior year of college, wouldnt that still pose situations where underage drinking is taking place?
 
actually thats not true, from all these stories its pretty obvious, and a group of my friends got in trouble for something not nearly as bad. they made a fake profile for one of our teachers, the one kid who actually made it was smart enough to get away with it(they were gona press charges, i know wtf) but some other people got in-school suspensions and other punishments. it was one of the stupidest and overreactive things i've ever seen happen in a school.
 
i think what he was referring to was that facebook was originally created to "re-connect" with your college classmates.

At least in my town we have this "zero tollerance pollicy" and im sure many other school systems do too. i am also in public schools. last year some parent came in with a portfolio of pictures with kids drinking and a bunch of my friends (im now a senior) lost their captainships and got kicked off their respective sports. now anytime someones gona upload pics to facebook they put the picture in MS paint and spray over the picture or cover it up and then they cant do shit

God i hate my fucking school
 
Even at my college, if they found pictures of underage kids drinking in their dorm room they would write them up and in some cases kick them out of housing.
I know its the same for highschools as well.
Tell her to remove any picture that has you in it and inform her that she does not have your consent to post them in that they are slander.
Other option is to photoshop any image and take the alcohol out of them. This is what the clubs at my school so that we can still post party pics on the school website.
 
when i was in high school, people got kicked off. It was funny, none of the star players on the team who were at the party mysteriously didnt get caught...hmmmm

this is the reason i smoke pot in the privacy of my room/deck with my good friends and why i do not associate with the little bitches who take pictures.... i'm sure everyone wants to know you were drinking watered down beer over the weekend
 
yes you can get in trouble. some snitch at my school took about 10 photos off of facebook and sent them to a school person (the photos were from a party w/ drinking) and 7 girls got suspended from spring sports.
 
ya you can definetly get kicked off teams if your in pictures containing alcohol and whatnot. whether you WILL be kicked off is entirely up to your school and how they handle these types of things. Its just a general stupid idea to take pictures of people randomly at a party then put them up on facebook without their consent.
 
also depends on the size of your school... i go to a school with about 550 kids and you will get the "guilty by association" bullshit if they find pics online... but i know kids that go to large 1000+ schools where they don't really give a shit.
 
wow us high schools quite honestly suck, it should none of their business what you do after school hours.
im glad i live canada,that shit wouldn't stand up here.... ive talked to some of my schools administration and they dont even really care if you drink at dances and school events as long as you're not completely wasted or puking everywhere
 
you can get in trouble, but what you gotta do is say that you were there as a DD (assuming that you dont have a beer in your hand in any of the pics) and that you make sure a car full of kids got home safely, and ask them if they really would have preferred that you weren't there
 
yes they can at some schools the assistant president has an administrative facebook account because people made a myspace page with threats on his life who they never caught but anyway yeah they can pretty much do whatever the fuck they want
 
I just untag myself in any photos with alcohol in it. I also tell my friends not to take incriminating pics in general, or put them on facebook, or tag me.
 
i'm talking about the situation in my town, 8th graders show up to parties and hold un-opened beer and take pictures of each other and of older kids to put on facebook and tag them. i am friends with my ski coach so it annoys me when i see cameras at parties unless absolutely necessary
 
the better question is why don't people learn to use the privacy settings on facebook... don't make your account visible to the public, don't add teachers, school administrators or possible employers. and if your do have a riske picture up make it limited to be seen by certain friends
 
and there is a cop that is assigned to my high school that looks for these pics and pulls kids aside at school to interrogate them. i just don't want to get in trouble is all
 
so wait...the us government pays a cop to creep peoples Facebook pages and then harass kids over some picture?
....good to see peoples tax money going to important things
 
My school's principal I'm pretty sure is a drunk, I live in Rural Ontario and I'll dip into his office to say what's up and it fucking stinks of whiskey. It's awesome because he's like 60.
 
I had a friend flip a bitch once cause I had a pick of him, me, and a couple other people all together (first time we had seen each other in over a year) with beers in our hand for a picture and he had me untag him cause he was worried the cross country team would see.
 
wait what; i never said that...
im just saying people should be allowed to do live their life however they want without the school getting involved for some reason
 
haha funny story, one of our administrators actually suggested we get high...so we did
theres nothing better than cool principals and such
 
Damn, whats wrong with your schools?Here in austria nobody cares if u get wasted, I can count the days I got to school sober on a fridays for the last two years I attended highschool on two hands. On the last year of high school you even have a official day when everyone gets mad drunk the night before, come to school drunk as fuck, continue drinking, go to different classes, sing and collect money...Ah, i love europe
