Question on hand rails

my friend said that he didn't want to go hit some local hand rails cause it would destroy his ski and then in the Sammy C interview he was talking about thrashin his skis on them.... So the question is what is the difference between park rails and hand rails?????

not much of a difference on the rails themselves. But handrails usually are surrounded b some sort of cement structure which withh hurt your skis

also lots of urban stuff is kinked so it will put more stress on your skis, the concrete/stairs is the big one tho

meatgrader stairs, usually at resorts, are prob the worst on skis. If you watch Forward, you'll see Dave Chrichton do a 40 stair meatgrader in Steamboat SPrings...his skis were done after 3 attempts...we could barely pull him into the jump to get on the rail his bases were so fucked, but somehow, he ended up doing it twice! horay!

yeah, the rails themselves dont really do much to the ski, its the concrete steps or metal stairs, just avoid them, or jump off on the oppisite side, or just slide the whole rail right away..haha

don't worry about it, just throw a lil snow on the landing, unless its cheesegrader, then it'll fuck yur shit up
