Question, getting so frustrated

I have the program IMOVIE for my imac, and i cannot import video clips off my digital camera for some reaseon. Everytime i try it says it cannot import it and so on.What format should it be in or anything else? thanks so much

Are you trying to import with USB? If so, don't and use a fire wire (wire, with import thing that looks like a house).

 
nah i have just a normal digital camera(still pics that can take videos) and i just import them to desktop but when i drag them over it wont work

yea i can't use after effects or premier with my diigital camera because they compress weird or some shit....just open the clip in another video editor (if one will work) and save just that clip then it works...pm if you have any questions

yo, my friend has hte same problem he has a digi camera for pics that takes vids but I movie wont let him use the clips, it sucks but i dont think there is anyway to fix it, but programs like final cut pro will let yu do it with out a problem

ive never tried but i do know that if you can get your video into quicktime, you can change it into DV and you can then import it into imovie without a hitch.

I have the same problem... You need a file converter or editor that accepts it. I think Sorrence Sqeeze 5.0 (sp?) works w/ it. The format on my camera is quicktime.

if its in quicktime, you can change it into DV, and therefore put it in imovie...
