If you're all so excited about the snow, then why the hell are you not out there hiking and earning your turns?

I went to the photos section expecting to see a bunch of sweet action photos of conquests from out west over the past few days as the snow piles up, but there was only one, from a Whistler employee.

Get off the damn internet and enjoy the snow that you are so fortunate to have! Throw the skis on the pack and get bootpacking! Take some photos and share the stoke with us East Coasters that are suffering from 70s, 80s and 90s for the past few weeks.

Well I live 2.5 hrs from the mountains so it isnt too worth it, but ive been hitting an ice-rink snow backyard setup the past few weeks... ill take some pics of that if you want...

hahah trure. yea my mountain is two hours away and its a long ass hike to the top its not 500 feet like your used to and i dont drive but if i lived a little closer and there was some more snow i might consider it

i'd be up there right now, if my roommate and my homies didnt have sore vaginas.

there complaining that its raining, and they dont want to be in the rain, but you've gotta get used to riding in the rain around here.

fucking pussies.

Going hiking tomorrow. I don't have enough time with school and such to go hiking much at all, and especially since I don't have a car of my own it kind of sucks. Especially when your friends won't let you borrow theirs.

I'm in San Francisco so I don't get any snow. Snow is 4 hours away for me. The closest I have is my summer setup and Icer Air.

suffering? its mad nice outside, enjoy it while it lasts. As much as i want to ski im not in a rush to shut all my windows and turn on the heat

i understand how it gets after not skiing for like 7 months... but if you really have the motivation to ski in the summer you can make it happen, believe it or not without a lot of money

plane tix early in advance when they're cheap, bum it and live in govy, find a job at one of the camps etc

Meh, if I was within 2 hours of snow, I'd be there. not posting pictures of webcams.

Those of you who went and slayed it, enjoy that shit. I'm way stoked for you, and if you have ANY photos, toss them up and post them. Spread the damn stoke!

Im out to go biking.

No. i'm just disappointed in the lack of action on this site. Tons of talk, little action.

PS - Nice stoke on the August pictures. + Karma for you!

Siiiiick!!! I love days like that. All cloudy and cold! No one wants to go out on those days so there is no one on the mountain. Sick picture man!

If I remember correctly, you guys made a video? It was sick, you guys drove like ages, skied for a bit, ran into a patroller or whatever on your way down, and left?

No sorry man, that was not us. This is in the area behind Keystone. It's near the pass thats between Keystone and Georgetown. I cant remember the name. Its the one that you can only walk on, very narrrow. Shoot, I can't remember the name. They used it back in the old mining days to get to Georgetown.

hahaha,

I would go out and hike but theres no snow on mt.washington so it would be pointless, was planning a trip to whistler but that fell through.

I agree with you though, if i lived in whistler id be hiking every day

Yesterday I parked in Alta parking lot, then hiked all the way to the top of Collin's lift, went out across the traverse, and proceeded to get the turns I had earned. It's hard to take pictures of yourself skiing though.

well its still really rocky round these parts, but i went out yesterday with a couple buddies to a nearby area- beehive basin, which is forest service land, but the the first part of the trail goes through private land. we were building a kicker up on a hillside, and decided to walk up the hill a little further. we came to a road and walked along it for a short while, just strollin along, not causing any trouble. cop rolls up, says we're trespassing, that the people who own these enormous houses in the area are tired of people walking on their road, and he proceeds to give all three of us trespassing tickets. thankfully, he didn't see our shovels or anything, cuz it actually says at the trail head its illegal to build kickers. so. i tried. got a little skiing in. but got a fat ticket also.

I live in Massachusetts and I've been skiing a fair bit lately, at least every other day for the past two weeks or so. I haven't got any footy though because my bum ass friend won't come up and film me when I ask him to.

I built the sickest rail though, and I'm going to get my filmer on that and put up a little hockey rink edit.

in the far west we have nothin to hike to yet, california doesn't stay cold real early. if there was snow i'd be there. alta got killed tho, that shit looked dope

duuude me two, check out our edit from friday i posted it a little ways up, but next time we set up our two 11 foot boxes you should come hit them, we had an up down going with ice rink snow

we are all to stoked taht we are skiing to take pictures. or maybe we just forgot our camera battery at home.
