Yes, for the most part ticket prices are going to be the same as mid-season rates. But if you've got free lodging, $80 bucks isn't bad for two days of descent spring skiing. Timberline will have a pretty nice park set up on the Palmer Glacier (don't get jealous of the Windell's kids, just tear the shit outta the public park). Unless we get another solid hit of snow Meadows is going to be hurting for snowpack by then, I doubt that their terrain will be much for skiing. Also, depending on when you go in May, you might be able to score a few cheap tickets from Ten Time pass holders wanting to get rid of their unused tix (late may, because passes expire on the 31st I believe, not so sure about that though).
