i want to make a nice hdpe box for the yard, whats would be ur ideal length? i want it long enough for some sick sw up combos, but not so long that i cant 270 on and stay balanced till the end, what do u think?

and how thick shoauld my sheet of hdpe plastic be?

i made mine 8 feet long but i havent tried spins on it yet. if you build it an longer than 8 fett u r gunna have to use 2 sheets of plywood.

wutever. mine is 8 feet and it is fine. im not gunna stuff a 30 footer in my backyard. I made it in woodwork class so it couldnt be huge

16 feet is nice in my opinion. or maybe make two 8s so you can make it kinked if you want? 16 feet is good though.

I would go with 2 15 footers, that you can somehow change the height of the legs on so you can do F-D, or U-D and stuff.

my buddies and i have three 8 ft. sections, which you can piece together in various ways for trying new stuff, which works out pretty well.

i would say build 3 8 foot sections so you could have a 24 foot flat box or you could set it up in all sorts of ways

my box is only 10 feet but i have really limited space so thats what i hadta do, dont build something so long that you dont have space for an inrun and so that you have enough space at the end that youre not crashing into stuff

it matters on how much speed you can get

my favorite box is a 25 feet long 2 feet wide urban stle down box

but thats just me

my ideal height would be about 10"-1' high, approx 3 inches wide (3 1" pvc pipes), 20 feet long. the height is real good cuz you dont need a real big drop in and is less intimidating to try stuff on, and when you go hit a real park, you dont notice the height difference, you really just feel how much youve improved. Either way its not like youre shooting your barkyard for footy so make it not tall.

mines 12 and it's so useless, cant switch up, and you barely have any rail left if you hit it with any speed

Mine is 16 feet long and 1 foot wide and I find it perfect. I can do everything on it acept switch up so it good for me. I think the best would be 20 but that's just me.

does pvc work for rails instead of steel. (cant get steel or welder)

off topic but didnt think it needed a new thread

i already have a 12ft, its not as long as it needs to be, but u should be able to get at least a sw up, iv been able to crown a 12ft box no problem, try making ur switchups a lil quicker, dont trash a 12ft box, just learn to get ur shit in on it, then when u hit a 20 footer, the possiblities are endless

20+ perfect. I really wouldnt worry about being too long to balance after spinning on since its a box. Since it's not a rail, when you get comfortable with your spins, it shouldn't be an issue.
