question bout my rollercoaster box

yah im makin a rollercoaster style box and im wonder should i use UHMW or PUCK BOARD (the white sruff on hockey boards)

 
i dont think puck board is lexan, i think that stuff is wood and the clear part of the boards are lexan or plexiglass, but uhmy would slide pretty well if you can find a big enough piece, thats what sole plates and whatnot are made out of on skates, so yeah uhmw + metal = fast sliding

 
unno the guy at the plastics store said puckboard is really sliprey...and its only 30$ UHMW is 72$ and plus puck board resists 90 mph hockey shots and body checks...unno

 
slipery is one thing but durability is another ... puck board is a fused material ts not totly homogeous so that means your skis wil hck the shit out of it so get solid lexan or metal.

the puck board was made for laying down on a flat surface and if you are making a roller coaster box i dont think that it will be to easy to bend. if you want things that are easy to bend you could use some pvc pipe laid sise by side about 4-5 wide

 
if i dont use UHMW i think i might use galvanised sheet metal that shits fast and very flexable but i think i will have to reinforce the plywood more kuz it is so flexable

 
well if you're wondering how good puck-board is, just ask the dudes from Whistler-blackcomb... They use puck-board on All of their boxes...

the puck board is just bent around the corners im prolly jus gonna go with that whistler uses that shit...so its gotta be deecent

 
from the whistler terrain park guy...

'The material we use for the box top sheet is called puck board which is the same material they use on the boards around hockey rinks. Puck board used is 1/2 to 3/4 inch. The frame is built with square metal tubing and framed in with wood. Metal screws hold the puck board to the steel frame.'
