Question about videocamera?

I just bought a PV-GS500 4MP 3CCD MiniDV Camcorder. i know it uses dv tapes, but it also said that it can playback into a pc? does anybody have one of these, or knows how easy it is to do this?

very easy. get adobe premiere, a firewire port and a firewire cable and your set.

but i jsut have a question. why would you buy a professional grade camcorder if you dont even know how to load footage?
