Question About The 2011/2012 Saga Anomie

So I'm considering getting last years Saga Jacket for cheap, I just have two questions about the gear:

How well insulated is the jacket?

Is the sizing the same as this years?
 
If you have the jacket from last year the insulation is the same. Its more of a shell but its plenty water proof and we havent had any complaints about warmth as long as you wear a thermal or sweatshirt under neath. the shell style of jacket allows you to wear layers which we find helps when temperatures change throughout the day.

As far as sizing goes all the sizes are essentially the same. we made some minor adjustments to the large and extra large (large got a hair longer xl got a hair shorter, very minimal changes) and we added the xxl. we found people that were about your height were always in between a large and xl. large being too short, xl being too long. so we bridged the gap and added the xxl for those tall guys that still need the length.

 
whoops i misread your questions. but i think my answer can give you the answers you need. just in a backwards way.
 
def go for it, saga makes great stuff, its very waterproof, not super insulated but i wore mine all last year with just a hoodie under and it was plenty warm enough
 
Alright so last years XL Anomie jacket would be slightly longer than this years 37.5 inch fit. And a large of the last years jacket would be slightly shorter than this years 34.5. Is the difference just that half an inch? I'll probably opt for the XL as I've outgrown my current jacket which is a large at 32.
