Question about saga jacket

What are the stretchy bands with the snaps on the sides of the powder skirt for?

im pretty sure they snap to the little loops right under the belt straps on the saga pants for jacket/pant integration...i could be wrong, buts thats what ive always thought mine have been there for

^yeh i think they are there to help hold your pants up. i use them for that at least
