Question about mounting my skis a second time...

I have a pair of the 05 06 rossi scratch fs skis and they are mounted at the standard mounting position. i want to move them up to the modern position but am worried that the screws will be too close to the previous holes. what is the minimum distance between a screw and a previous hole or could a screw be put into an old hole?

you shouldn't have a problem with the screws from a center mount being too close to the holes from standard mount, i've had to have every twin tip ski that i've owned remounted because of retarded ski shop guys and that's never been an issue

I have Scratch BC, the same year, I wanted to do the same thing and my tech told me I was really border line ( too close )...

If you are half a cm from the old holes you should be fine, you can put the screws in old holes as well, if they strip and the screw won't bite, you might need heli coils

just re mounted some new bindings on the rossis. The front holes are +2 cm from the old holes.

But if you use the same bindings and you are worried that the modern mark is too close, than just add a cm more to the front.

Personally, i dont like em at the marks and put them 6 cm more forward. The skis are great within those points.

anyway, recap: just put them 1 cm more forward then modern if you are scared.

ya retarded shop guys did the same thing to me. they mounted my bindings well behind true center. i'm thinking to remount them. should I do?
