Question about linking videos from vimeo.

So you have the option when uploading videos to just html your vimeo to appear on NS.

the question is why dont those views count on vimeo?

Normally embedded videos when watched anywhere show up when watch on the statistics. Yet views on NS do not match Vimeo?

I know it's not a big deal. But would be an advantage to get those views as one big statistic instead of having say 300 on NS and 200 on vimeo. so should say 500?

 
It should actually be the other way around, you should have more views on Vimeo than NS.

Yes a play on NS should be counted by Vimeo as one play, if its not they may have changed something.

As far as having the counts match, we don't have a way to pull that info from Vimeo, you are simply embedding the video into the NS system. We show the number of times a video has been played on NS, and that is all we can do

yer for some reason I have 300 and something on NS and 200 and something on Vimeo..

found it a bit bizarre. no worries
 
I'm pretty sure vimeo counts a view as a "play" while NS counts a view as a page view.
