Question about fake id and club scanners.

yo guys,

i have a fake id from a guy at work. it works well at bars, and ive been to a bunch of bars, but none of them have scanned. the id is an expired alberta drivers liscense, and its a legit id, it looks like me, and the hair/eyes/height/weight are pretty much identical.

i want to try it out at some bigger bars and clubs, and they scan.

does anyone know if the id will work with the scanner?

 
thats really weird that they scan? the only places that i have heard of scanning an Id is at liqueur stores. But if it does get scanned it will come up as being invalid and wont go through the computer. But you can just say that it expired and that you havn't bothered to get a new one yet.

 
they're not gonna take it if its a legit id and just won't go through. my friend got his fake scanned (its not someones old id) and they just said it didn't go through. if its a real id, and just expired, they'll just be like, sorry this has expired (if they're not complete dicks). should be straight.
 
Don't be a douche... If it's working at bars just keep on drinkin' there... You'll time will come when you can get in legit. A few years back I was in NYC and had a fake. They take that shit immediately.

SO just keep gettin' sloppy at the bars you been too.
 
the scanner just confirms the information on the card. it makes sure that it hasnt been scratched/altered and that two people dont get in with the same id. it doesnt matter that its not you.
 
it really depends on the quality of the fake.

not all fakes are created equal.

mine scans, its a texas. fyi anyone with texas ID's, they do not blacklight because they are not supposed to. texas doesnt do that in real life.
 
at my college we go to bars all the time, so i have some experience with fakes and shit, i think most scanners are bogus, and bars just have them to scan, if it is a real id itll scan, and some fakes will scan as well, give it a shot, see what happens
 
well man, its not a 'fake' id, its someones real id, so it will work fine in the scanner, only thing that might come up is that its expired, then you'd have to show another piece. when i was underage i used to use my brothers id and they'd always scan it and shit. Scanning i think looks for scratch marks and or id fraud where you put your picture on another persons id, when they scan it the picture comes up on a little computer.

The cops raided him for it, he should post the story not me.... But essentially it was a big thread and we had news clips and everything then he comes in and lays the smackdown with the story.
