Question about dislocated shoulder

how long should i wait before i start skiing again? Its been week and i am thinking about going this weekend. But i am gonna be in sling for another two weeks at least and the docter told me not to ski.
 
your gonna get hated on prob. but i understand what your going through. if you feel like its well enough that you wanna risk a bad injury then go ahead. it sucks having limits.
 
Don't do it dude.

If you dislocate it once and then let it heal fully, your chances of a 100% recovery with your shoulder as strong as it was are pretty good. but if you dislocate it twice, you start to permanently weaken the muscles that hold the joint in place, and once those are weakened you'll be dislocating all the time, and that's no fun at all.

trust me on this one and give it a few weeks, or if you really insist on skiing, just take it real, real easy. I was stupid and didnt let my shoulder heal, and about half a million dislocations and one suck-ass surgery later, I still can't throw a baseball like I used to be able to.
 
yeah i know tons of people whos shoulers are fucked for life. I think i am just gonna ski but i will take it easy and stay away from park for a while
 
he speaks the truth. get a good physio and do everything they tell you to, or ull be dealing with this problem forever.
 
You are such a pussy about ur damn shoulder. Honestly, who takes an ambulance to the hospitol for a dislocated shoulder.

no im ragging on him cuz he walks around asking everybody to do everything for him cuz he hurt his shoulder. He exspects to waited on just because he is in a sling.
