Them Crooked Vultures needs to be along lived band. John Paul Jones, Grohl, Homme. I believe that Grohl is now the drummer of queens of the stone age though.

Dave Grohl was the drummer on songs for the deaf (the album, not just the song), don't know if he's been with them since apart from crooked vultures. a couple of my favourites that haven't been posted:

 
One of my favorite songs form queens of the stone age, 3's and 7's is also great. I don't know many people who like this kind of music anymore, at least the people that I hang out with.

The riff is amazing and the abrupt change at 1:00 makes me wallop.

Songs for the Deaf is my favorite album. Grohl's drumming was next-level. Clockwork is pretty good, a sort of different feel. Listening to it again now.
 
I used to love Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures but then my music interests changed. Its still great music though.
 
I remember seeing the music video for 'no one knows' in middle school a decade or so ago and saw dave grohl drumming

haha that was the same for me. i was maybe 8/9 and we'd just got music channels on tv, so i was starting to discover loads of new stuff including nirvana, the foos and qotsa. the one thing i remember thinking about his drumming in that video was how he was making the small drums that stick up from the bass drum (not a drummer so i don't know the lingo haha) bend downwards and bounce every time he hit them cos he hit them so hard and how sick the rhythm of their songs were
