Quebec's 3rd referendum

hey dude it was a joke my reply , so why doesn t everybody just sit back and relax, wtf is everyone all up tight about this, why dont we just let it die, why bring it up again. my old parents said that it should have happened back in 1980 the first time, so why dont we just move on... i mean look at europe what are they doing ... trying to get everyone together... then take a look at scotland the did it but are still part of the uk anyway, so why spend all that money to have another stalemate and any way if it turn out 51% for and 49% against it still means that its a split decision no one win in the long run anyway...
 
Im living in Quebec right now, And although i live in a mostly english town, i do venture out to the rest of quebec. I have never felt any hostility from francaphones and they are nothing but understanding when i cant ask or answer their questions in french. I politly tell people that I cant speak french and that I am sorry, and no one has ever yet looked down on me in any way. I would hate to lose Quebec as a canadian provience.

If quebec did have another referendum, and did seperate, do you think Newfoundland would try to follow suit? They have always gotten shafted more than quebec by the federal government and there is a growing sepertist movement there as well.
 
so we talked about this in political sciences today, it appeared that Quebec would be rather screwed if they sperated. If they did seperate they would lose all their economic links with Canada, the Canadian government said they wouldnt work with an independant Quebec. And the US said they would withdraw all industrial links with a seperated Quebec, for example GM one of Quebec largest employers would completly shut down in Quebec.And it doesnt sound like the forestry industry is exactly thriving in Quebec, so that leaves them with hydro-electricity, but no Canada to sell it to. It sounds like an independant Quebec would economic disater for Quebec, and it would certainly effect North America.
 
did you know that Quebec has enough water for the rest of the world??? No, they will not be in economical trouble if they separate, but the rest of Canada will I bet.

Fuck independentists, they're in every country and just fuck around like terrorists, they really are a mafia of their own... And for what purpose?? Running a dictatorship??? How stupid would it be to be a quebecer and agree with that...

Canada all about cultural diversity.The problem with quebecer seperatists is that they are intolerent to other cultures.Maybe the main reason is to isolate themselves from the rest of the world.

Look at bill 101,the farancaisation law.Everything and everybody must be french.
 
Well at least a good debate was going on till dumbass opened his mouth. I dont agree that quebec should seperate, but I understand their reasons for wanting to. Also I'm to lazy to type out all the points that have already been made.
