Quasar Camera's????

Im heading out to empire this week, and my friend let me borrow his quasar video camera, its like a 150x digital camera and im pretty sure its a MiniDV camera. Does anyone know if these are decent? im sure it will get the trick done for just personal filming down there, but any info would be cool..

yeah i mean personally i would never buy a camera with the name brand quasar, but its free right now, and he hooked me up with it for the trip, so i guess i cant complain
