Quality ski companies & why do you never see pro ride Line's

I've never seen a pro ride for example some Line's on the x games & slopestyle olympics. They all ride those normal well known brands that have been there for a long time like Volkl, Salomon, Atomic... Those brands that the normal mountain skier and alpine racers have.

Is there a reason for this? are they just better quality?

What's your opinion on the brand that has the best quality skis.
 
Line just doesn't prioritize sponsoring that many contest centric riders. Instead they stick mostly with their kind of wacky LTC stuff/people, as well as their big mountain/pow guys like Pollard, Whiteford, Siggers, Hammer etc.

That being said, Kim Lamarre took bronze at Sochi on Line stepups. Not sure if she's on the team or not though haha.

Pretty much sums it up. Line also makes jibby, soft, playful, price point type of park skis for men that usually don't fall into the category that most pro comp riders are looking for. They advertise with LTC and such rather than X Games.
 
feels like a troll post... or OP has no idea how sponsorship works.

David Wise wasn't on the brand that "normal mountain skier"s have. Lol can't make that crap up. OP for president of all knowledge.
 
Joss use to ride for line then got picked up by Fischer. Money is the main factor, big companies can pay higher salaries while line struggles to do that. Unless you're Tanner Hall and decide to drop Rossignol for Armada for next to nothing money, most times you'll want money as skiing doesn't pay that much to begin with. That being said Full Tilt doesn't even pay their athletes.
 
As far as companies go, I love what Line stands for. Jskis has a similar stance (DUH) and although I'll probably ride Lines until I die, I really look up to all of the "smaller" companies that really emphasize the fun in skiing. For me at least, that's what it's all about.

Because you don't know that tanner went to armada purely because he believe in freestyle skiing, then poured his heart and soul into armada to help it become what it is today, pushing aside money to ride a straight up freestyle ski.

I was 8 years old in 2002 when armada was established. I didn't even ski back then. What makes you think I would spend my time researching the history of Armada when I have better things to do.
