Quality protein shakes

i'm going to hit up my vitamin store tomorrow, just looking for a heads up on some decent protein shakes... i know there are some of you who lift... looking for some good vitamin tips etc.

my workout just changed from heavy cardio/endurance muscle training, to bulking up i need to put on more muscle. i need to gain.

i'm looking to put on atleast 8-10lbs of muscle in a month.

thats a shitload for a month, you might not be able to do it with just vitamins, look into a normal creatine monohydrate if you lift more than 5 days a week, if not its just gunna make u mr. chubs. It you can only hit the gym 3-5 times a week, check out NOXplode, its some serious shit, and you have to follow the directions exactly or else you will fuck yourself over, but its rediculous, in a week or 2 you will notice a huge difference, something you normally wouldnt see for atleast a month

NO-Xplode is a no go (my trainer would shit on u if you took it)... 90% of what it gives you is water.... you could burst like a waterbaloon... if you want to just look good and not be healthy though def rock the NO-Xplode

whey protien is solid shit... if you wanna go with a light creatine then get the muscle milk it will enhance natural creatine grown or some shit... if you want some more then go for straight up creatine.... if you wanna really really reach your goal then be a dumbass and roid ur way to it

still will any of that good luck puttin on all that muscle in a month

if you eat right you shouldn't have to take protein shakes. And more importantly, why do you want to gain so much muscle in such a short amount of time?

8-10lbs is my goal if i don't make it then i don't make it but thats what i want.

the reason i'm trying to pack on the muscle in a short time is because i'm going be taking a physical screening test for US Navy spec/war in about a month, and i HAVE to pass it or pretty much my future/dreams a ruined :X

Peanut butter sandwhich, can of tuna, protein bar and washing it down with a protein shake should do it, oh and a nice big fillet for dinner.

i lift evreyday, and take whey protein, and mega whey extreme. I take 1 scoop of whey protein before i workout, then i take the mega whey extrmee about 30 min after my workout. and then whey protein again before i go to bed. The mega whey extreme has a supplement called leucine in it. I suggest getting both flavors in chocolate. Another good protein drink is casine protein this guy at the gym was telling me about it. hes a microbiologist some shit like that

Dont waste your money on Muscle Milk, Nlarge, NitroTech, NOexplode, etc etc. They're expensive gimics that dont do much except either retain water or put on fat (note sugars!). Get a decent whey protein (ON, EAS, etc.) and get your diet in check. Syntrax Nectar is what I've been using. Pretty good quality protein and it tastes soooo friggin good. Get your diet in check, add some whey, stay consistent w. workouts, SLEEP/REST.

Those are the basics.

If you want more info. goto a lifting site or PM me for a recommendation. Looking for weightlifting recommendations on a ski site can be a risky idea!

oh also one last thing eat alot of egg whites, when i was into bulking up i would eat 8-10 eggs for breakfast then half a dozen as an afternoon snack, the egg whites are the good part, no cholestral(sp?) just protein and that stuff

go to GNC and get Mega Man vitamins- all the B vitamins you need, energy, awareness ect.

WHEY protein- mix it with milk(tastes the best)

and NO explode is good for energy bursts

i use Creotine too

muscle milk, but only use it if u are actively working out, i take it everyday and before workouts and its great

if u want to gain mass quickly u need to lift heavy, and u need to eat a lot, obviously not junk foods but protein, carbs, and a lot of fruits and vegetables, no junk food, even when u think u are full, eat more.

I suggest you dont use creatine:

Creatine thins your blood by taking unnatural amounts of potassium from your blood stream to your muscles, letting you work out more.(I saw it on CSI, it must be true). Instead, eat a banana before you work out-it really really helps, and you notice the difference right away. Also, drinking gatorade can help replenish the potassium you lose.

If you are gonna take vitamins, take something with a lot of B12, it will help you with energy and focus. I personally use mega men, and for an extra boost i take one pill of Rev (its recommended to take like 6 a day, but i just use it for a little energy boost, not a six pack). Stay away from ephedrine at all costs.

100% Whey has been the best from all what I have heard from employees, and its clean. A lot of products use Creatine, or some other chemical, stay away from those shits.

If you do a lot of running, something that I noticed happens is when you stop running and do the same amount of weights you gain a lot of weight (good weight). The reason for this is running sometimes "burns" muscles for a source of energy, so the best thing to do is take amino acids (you thought protein tasted bad...), its like protein but its already significantly broken down.

you will gain weight, not health. creatine fucks up your liver. and I dont think were made do do this to our body. you can get hella strong and stay of normal size. I dont use any protein or whatev. IM really strong, but not huge. stay natural.

sounds like your shit is really expensive. Literally, the poop that comes out of your butt is worth money. You don't need nearly that much protein. Companies that make all these protein powders have struck gold, because their advertising has convinced people that the more protein, the better, with no limits. Your body can only use so much protein at a time. When you take scoops and scoops of protein powder a day, your body absorbs as much as it can, and disposes the rest of it. Where do you think it goes? Into your shit. So, don't waste your money taking that much stuff a day, maybe a scoop and thats it, maybe two if you workout EXTREMELY hard.

ahahhha good luck gaining 10lbs of muscle in one month. i suggest you just bulk first. yes you will gain extra fat but thats what bulking is

muscle milk is decent. i've been using it for a little over a month and its more effective than other protein shakes i've tried. don't get banana strawberry

I take NO-Explode pre-lift and CytoGainer after.....I'm 6'2" 188 lbs or so and fucking rock solid. I don't really give a shit if you believe me or not, but thats a great pairing of products, and I'm probably in better shape than just about anybody on this site.

You can't deny the pros of taking NO-explode, expensive or not - the energy, pumps, and focus you get is unbelievable. Long terms its not good for your body, but short term to pack it on, go for it,

CytoGainer is great - tastes amazing, 580 calories, 54 grams protein, and i think 3 grams Creatine - perfect for packing on muscle fast.

Work out 4 days a week or so, just don't double up on the same muscle groups - i have three different "days" - chest/triceps, back/shoulders, and legs/biceps/forearms. i work out my abs/core everytime i'm in the gym, its an area you can really work hard and not injure, plus you get a sick 6-pack. Drink a ton of water, eat a lot, and get your rest - if you're working out hard 4 days a week, you can eat a TON and gain very little fat - this past spring I gained about 10 pounds in less than a month, you just have to be disciplined. Seriously, eat a ton after you work out - the way my buddy and i did it, you just eat literally TWICE what you would - if you're having pasta, have a chicken sandwich too, or if you're having a burger, have two. Take a good multivitamin.

Oh and stretch a lot.

Do all that, and thank me later.

If you want a solid protein shake get muscle milk like others have said. An amazing amino acid complex, carbs to gelp you gain and fat burners. I work out 5 days a week and have seem many supliments inthe past cupple years my brother worked at a health food store for a year and is huge he sold supliments and he took alot. I have never tryed any besides muscle milk wich is just an advance protein. I recomend it 100%. I wouldt never take any spiliments though they are all gimics and the sientific info you read about them are put out by the companys who make them. so why would they tell you anything bad about their product. Even my borther who was a hard suplimenter has read everything there is to know about supliments ands now has decided that they are not going to help him in any way. the fast way out is never the best way out. if you want to gain all you need is to eat 6 means a day of the right food (chicken/beef/carbs/eggs/fish/nuts) and lots of water work out 5 days a week 2 days rest switch up your plan from heavy weeks to light weeks. you will notice how mixing it up gets gains. take protein and vitamins * i take a multie mitamin/calcium/omega3-6-9/b-100 * and sleep alot. the person who said only eat egg whites is an idiot the extra bit of colestriol is not going to hurt you at all unless you 85 with heart problems. ps dont be afraid of some cardio 15 min of cardio wont take away from your gains it will help you look bigger by cuting the fat off oyu and help you eat morein a day .. thats my 2 cents hope it works out for you liek it does me.

dont feel like proof reading this

I don't understand why people just workout and never do cardio. You are a meat head if you do htat. Lifting weights is easier than cardio. I do both... a lot of both. I run college track, so i lift 4 days a week, squats, cleans, clean hi pulls, speed snatches, free weights, etc. You really really should run or ride a bike or swim or something too. You look ridiculous if you only lift and never do cardio. Your upper body will be huge and you will have little chicken legs, and you get winded walking up 5 flights of stairs. I'm not singling out anybody on here, just giving my two cents. You have to have a balance if you want to be a real athlete.

ive been gaining weight pretty well if u ask me. I started taking this stuff in the summer, and working out evreyday. i went from 130 to 150 so a 20lb weight gain is pretty damn good. My max bench has went from 180-225, i have gone up over 100lbs in all of my back workouts. Id like to gain 10 more pounds and be 160. I am just about 5'10, and weigh in at 150. But like i said i work out EVERYDAY!! the protein stuff is working for me. And creatine BAD, causes liver problems, and urinary tract infections, they also banned it from the NCAA.

im around football teams ALOT so heres wat u want, 4sure.

at GNC they sell "Mass Gainer" buy the stuff w/ the big "1800" on the side. blend it w/ 2% milk and drink it as the label says! dont do half now, half later, drink it all at once! and the if ur rly lookin to get firm, get "Anavol" its the best creatine u can get-kinda pricey (128ish) but the best 4 u and lasts a good long time (6 a day w/ 300 pills) just make sure to drink 2 liters of water a day b/c creatine can mess u up if u dont take it right. if ur piss is orange, u nee dmore water-but if ur drinkin 2 liters a day ull be fine 4 sure...u should have pretty clear piss by the time u go to sleep.

i promise thats the best thing u can do.

that shits ridiculous. my roommate uses it, and i tried it out once and felt like my heart was going to explode.

but if you're really serious about putting on muscle weight, use NOXPLODE before you lift and then afterwards use GNC weight gainer 2200 gold. packed with protein and calories, and helped me put on 5 pounds of muscle per month

ON Whey is good stuff I have gone through about 10 tubs of it in a year lol If you want to gain muscle fast take creatine monohydrate and a multi vitamin. You should always eat one gram of protein perpound of bodyweight and eat carbs. If you dont want to get bloated do some cardio. Last year I weighed 175 and I gained 30 pounds of muscle im now at 205 make sure you do core lifts like squats, bench, deadlifts, and powecleans. Dont ever take a product made by muscle tech it is the worst stuff ever it is expensive and it only works good because they put a shitload of stuff in it that you dont want in your body hopefully I helped you out good luck

once again, dont take advice on lifting from a ski website. If you took a lot of the advice from these posts you'd spend a shitload of money for a ton of crap. Do your own research elsewhere.
