Quality? Please Help

So i just got my Panasonic HDC TM700 yesterday and today i was gettin some test shots with it and came up with this edit:

It was all shot in 1080 60p and the quality looks like it was shot on a cell phone and the videos shot on my GoPro even looked better... what the hell did I do? I always render to mp4 because it doesnt overflow the max limit of MB that can be uploaded on vimeo so im not really rendering to HD but i did the same on the GoPro and it still turned out much much better... SOME ONE HELP PLEASE!!!!

its because of the format
ive heard that it looks beautiful but the only way to play it is to plug it right into your tv or to use some program that came with it-like in the box
beyond that google is your friend
 
^ya i have the software that it came with but the editing program is trash. and i kow for a fact you can use Sony Vegas Pro 9... but i took the video down and im trying a different format. we'll see how that goes and ill post it back in here
 
your problem seems to be mp4. honestly just go to vimeo's compression guidelines and use that. they fucking rule and make shit perfect at low mb sizes. if you think your video sizes are large think of me, i have an HVX which shoots DVCPROHD and on p2 cards. fucking 1 minute raw footage is at least 1gb at 720p. so dont tell me you cant do it. you have to follow what vimeo says exactly and it will be fine. you have to use h.264 as a compression thingy and export as .mov there is no other way of doing it. GET ER DONE

well if u have final cut express this should work

Before buying I’ve checked whether I could edit the footage with FCE, as FCE 4 doesn’t handle 60p shooting. I came to the following workflow:
1. Copy MTS files to drive (I use external RAID 1, 2TB drive)
2. Use rewrap2M4V / clipgrab for repacking, this only takes a few seconds and multiple files can be done.
3. Import into MPEG streamclip and output using Apple Intermediate Coded (AIC) as either 59.94 (if used as slow motion) or 29.97 frame rate. File size blows up by factor 6-10.
4. To create smooth slow motion I use JES deinterlacer. Import 59.94 frame rate files and output (again AIC) to 29.97 frame rate with 0.5 x speed
5. Import into FCE. My 1-year old iMac (dual core, 2.66 GHz, 4 GB RAM) has no problem at all to edit this footage.

try using a higher bitrate. Also looks like you got some frameblending, what timeline settings did you use?
 
ya man thanks for all the help. im gonna try to go with Adobe Primere pro as recomended by jwenz cause hes already got all the setting worked out but +K anyways i really appreciate it
