Definitely looped. The banner on the takeoff is in the same position for two of the flips as well as the dude on the knuckle. Black Crow is still lame. Possibly lamer now.

Someone who can double backflip in the park: please make a 6-flip clip as soon as possible! Someone on NS can probably help with the edit.
 
If you replace the subject with a 1080 and "double" with "720", then you'd be an exact replica of a noob from NS a la 2005.
 
that kiker in la plagne trannys into a bowl, so you land and ride into the bowl and up the other side. iv watched them hit for years. first time i saw it must have been 2004
 
calling BS unless there's another angle. i don't think a guy is gonna go for a quad flip without anybody else filming it.

You must be very strong. The transition was huge with a lot of compression. The timing has to be perfect. When you throw the flip it all happens so quickly. Kevin Rolland was on the knuckle, he yelled "stop" when I was upside down on my fourth flip. On the video we removed Kevin yelling. I was using 130 flex boots, with anything softer there is no way I would have stuck it.

- What was going through your head?

I thought about Tanner Hall talking to Henrik Harlaut at the X-Games, but to me he would have said "basically its just a triple backflip to another backflip." Really its more complicated than that, getting past the 3rd backflip. But it feels good to say that you can do it. Tanner also said "you'll go down in history." I dod not do it for that, but I realize that it makes history anyway.

- Many are accusing the video of being fake.

American's always think the French are trying to defraud them. People get jealous quickly which makes them jump to conclusions that it has to be fake, because they don't know the people involved. I did a quad, that's all, I have nothing to prove. Too bad for them if they don't believe it. Some people even make fun of the video, but shit, I have the right to do quads!

- Some people say they have found some inconsistencies in the video that prove its fake.

Yes, they say that because I don't advance forward during the rotations it must be fake. This is easily explained: The jump was a HUGE STEP-UP. Which means you don't move more than 4 or 5 feet forward during each flip.

- When will we see a second angle which proves this really happened?

Mathias Lopez, the event filmer, completely missed the shot. I don't know what happened, whether he did not hit the button, or what. We did find a by-stander who shot it with their phone. We are waiting for them to send it to us.
 
Except that Henrik did make freeski history and this dude just hucked a trick that had been done decades before... nothing historical with doing a trick that's already been done.
 
Stuff like this and him claiming he's going down in history is what annoys me about the French. Always acting all arrogant and shit. People don't think it's fake because you're French, and a quad backflip in 2013 is not historic. Sorry bud.
 
i know someone already kind of proved it fake but here's my proof:

he is slightly lower in the second photo just because I didn't pause it at the exact same time as the first, but its clear that the skier is at the same height as before.

this one i did manage to get the pause at exatly the same frame, the only change is that i slightly cropped it differently with the snipping tool. so yea, it is 100% obvious now that the video is looped at some point. i think its kind of dumb they even made up an interview for him for the fake trick. i mean really, wouldn't atleast someone have another angle of a quad?
 
Wow, with your pictures it would prove it isn't faked. It's a step up he most likely is going to be at the same height for some time you fucking genius
 
not shit dude i can read i heard him say that in the post before. im telling you the 3rd and 4th images are LITERALLY the exact same thing minus a couple pixels on each side. i have them saved in my pictures and when you toggle left and right between the it is 100% clear that they are the same. you can't tell me that he stopped moving completely both vertically and horizontally in the air for like half a second of this to get identical frames in two different flips, its not possible. go back to basic physics class dumbass
 
I'm not done:

towards the end of the alleged fourth flip you can see the blue coat filmer again and the skier is well above and maybe 20 feet beyond him, showing that in both the second and third flips the skier is still going up and moving pretty fast horizontally. again, no chance that those two frames could have been taking from two different flips. they are completely the same. open the each one in a different window, maximize both windows, and click back and forth between the two until you're convinced and will shut the fuck up.

...yea, it was kind of a waste of my time. its a more of a personal battle i guess for some reason it was really bothering me that I couldn't tell if it was fake or not so i decided to look into it. my first post only took about 4 or 5 minutes to write anyway. why don't you think it's fake?

if it was actually true i could see that, i just think its fake right now based on what I could come up with

ok..... look at the screen caps I posted higher up in the thread, there are different people watching when he comes around. And they did loop a take off, as evidenced by others.

I really don't think its looped anywhere though. I was saying that there aren't two points similar enough to convince me it is.

Either way, you changed my opinion. I guess it's fake.
 
I think it's fucking hilarious that you care so much that you had to personally investigate it. Personally I believe that if someone posts a video up claiming a trick, they're not lame enough to lie about what they're doing. Seriously, there really hasn't been someone as fucking lame to purposely try to make up doing a trick and to pass it off as real... promoting a company no less.

Although they are French and they are pussies so it wouldn't surprise me if it was another cheese-eating, wimpy-ass, French douche bag trying to get his stinky 15 minutes of fame. But again, the fact that you care so much... nice going, Ace Ventura. I don't know where we would all be without your intense curiosity.

nah you just have to be really careful about pausing it, the two are the exact same footage and after a couple tries you can probably get the exact same frame to come up

i shouldn't have posted the first two pictures that i posted since theyre at slightly different times and make it look different. it is possible to find the exact same frame in the second and third flips
