hey i was searching the internet for some good quarter pipe plans, and i came across these. they seem pretty decent, so i plan on using them some time in the near or distant future. heres the link.

there are more links when you get there, so look around. also, does varnish or paint make wood waterproof?
 
Go to your local Home Depot and ask where the returned or not the color the people wanted paint is and they'll show. Then look for a paint that is either a sealant or is at least waterproof.
 
seems pretty legit. you dont necessarily need Masonite either. especially if its going to be kept outside (which im assuming it is). my friends masonite started warping on him and everything, so he ended up taking it off
 
the plans look good, but id be careful with waterproofing it, cause one time i used stain, and it made it super slipery, so if you can use a water proof wood
 
oh i wasnt saying it is bad, but its just not 100% necessary.

and yeah, im pretty sure he didnt seal it either.
