in every state if the people who voted for nader voted for kerry it wouldnt have made a difference, so he made less of an impact than everyone expected, and all of the dems who cry about nader taking votes away from kerry were right that he probably did take some away from kerry, but those votes wouldnt have made a difference

i agree with the last 2 posts in this thread. however, lineskier, nader did make a big difference in the 200 election and it is arguable weather he kept Gore from loosing.

We need ten different parties running for president so everything would be close. Like everyone has 10 percent of the vote. ahah then we'd be able to vote again.

 
^there were about 7 different parties on the ballot, dont remember the exact number, they just dont appeal to the majority of america, and generally dont have as much money as the dems or repubs so you rarely see any campaign advertisements.

omg i wish nader was on our ballot here in ohio...

i wore a shirt all day tuesday thats said 'vote green or die!' it was sweet. i ended up just voting kerry tho, and he still lost ohio and becuase of it, lost the election

And it makes me see, every puff that I breathe, potent herbs and leaves could ease the world . . .

So you say Nadar doesn't achieve anything. So your saying third parties don't achieve anything. I disagree. Third parties are very important. Those votes for Nadar are not just wasted votes that don't achieve anything in politics. You have to overlook the history of third parties...they do influence, make an impact, and promote change, and that is why when every election comes around, Nadar is on the ballot. Someday perhaps a third party will come to dominate just as republicans and democrats do right now. I mean, do you honestly think republicans and democrats will be around forever and ever, that's when these other parties may someday come into play.

no, if a 3rd party got more popular and the dams and repubs were also still popular, no one would win the electoral college and the vote would go to the House.

that is why all the dems should vote for the green party, that would be cool.

and, i thought that the NDP was more liberal then the liberal party and more liberal then the green party in Canada. sounds similar to the green party in the US to me eh?

Ross Perot almost did it as a third party canidate. Didn't he get like 19% of the popular vote? Overall Ross Perot was an awesome guy.

If I wanted a third party to win though it would be libertarian. Soft and liberal on the inside, hard and conservative on the outside. Sort of like a reeses peanut butter cup.

 
nader would have made a better president than bush and kerry combined. O well though, Charelton Heston is my president.
