PX12 TOE PIECE

Ok so I have purchased some skis that have been previously mounted with PX12s but I have some fks 140s I want to mount on them, SO will I be able to use the old holes or do I have to plug them and re-drill?

I think you should be able to do it. Have you checked to see if the holes line up? If so, simply put some Elmers glue in the holes and thread them back in with a screwdriver.

I just dug around and it looks like it will work. From what I found it said the drill pattern hasn't changed in over 13 years. If the bindings are older than that, you may want to reconsider.

Thanks a ton, both the px12s and fks 140s are from last year so if what you said is right they should work.

Yeah they will work. As far as I know, all look/Rossi freeride bindings have the same mounting patterns. And don't use elmers glue like the guy above said. Marine grade epoxy works best

Dont listen to this goon. If you use epoxy the bindings will be permanently stuck to the ski. Everything will be completely seized up.

Terrible advice.

to everyone above me: you're wrong. PX12s and FKS 140s do not use the same hole pattern on the heel. the toe is the same, so you could reuse the toe holes, but i'd heli-coil them to be safe, since you don't know whether the old bindings were unscrewed, ripped out, etc. the FKS uses a much shorter mounting patter on the heel than the PX series bindings do, so before you mount the toe, make sure you're not going to run into any hole conflicts with the heel. or, be smart about it, and take them to a shop, where they're trained to do things like mount bindings.

this. I've pulled the toepiece of a marker griffon off a ski and it was epoxied in, SO FUCKING HARD.

lol I wasn't asking about the heel piece, everyone knows they are different. But thanks for telling me about the info. (The bindings were unscrewed btw and not ripped out)

Lol, well that made no sense... I meant thanks for telling me about the info on the toe piece/remounting.
