nothing at all. i think someone must've mispelled owned one day and spelled it pwned, and it just caught on.

yeah, it's sorta popular among online gamers. Like I think it originated with guys playing counter strike. Guy killed somebody and typed "pwned" really fast instead of "owned".

actually pwned orginated from warcraft 2 in which when you lost to the computer, a designer spelled owned wrong as pwned, and it says pwned before you died.
