Pvc is a fairly soft plastic, if anything the little "burrs" you see will get cut off by your edges before they even touch your base. I've never had any troubles with my bases getting scratched by pvc, and I would be surprised if I ever did. The worst part for bases is landing on dirt/ mud and the occasional rock.
13408729:shin-bang said:100% agree with this. i drilled mine from the bottom of a 2 by 4, and up into the bottom of the pvc. also you are right on with the whole "bur" idea. my edges were pretty rough, and after seshing the setup the edges are super smooth. i was really shocked when i ran my hand down the edge and no burs at all underfoot.
i attached the pvc by screwing into the bottom of it like in the pic op. from the bottom of the 2 by 4 into the pvc. hope this is relatively helpful.
