i want to make a rail that i can use in the summer, i think that the pvc rail would be the easiest to make. what do i need to make one and how do i make one? will i need to make a drop in to get onto the rail, if so how do i make that?

well i guess it would be easiest to do a double barrel rail so get a board then screw the pvc into it make sure to get thick pvc and to drill before you screw then just put supports oner the board

ya, i made a pvc rail and i had a problem with it cause the whole where i had to drill through so i could screw it onto the board kept getting bigger and bigger until it was so big i couldnt use it anymore

i want to make one, but i want it to be longer than 10 feet, how would i attach them? And how many supports should you have for every 10 feet?

pvs does start to shave and that is a downside of it....dont make it double barreled...that just way to easy. im not really any help though because i set one up every winter just using snow....my advice is get some lexan instead of pvc, slides like it but doesnt shave, easy to screw to wood and when its wet it slides will for summer conditions

i have 3 1/2 in pvc tubes that will be screwed into a 2 by 4 by 10. but before the tubes are attached, i have three sawhorse brackets that will be countersunk so that the top of the scre doesnt interfere with the pvs. then ill attach 2 2by 4s on each sawhorse bracket which will be attached together at the bottom by one 2 by 4 for each pair of legs. each of those will have a footlong nail droven through it into the ground.

it hasnt been tested yet, bc i didnt build it yet, and its my original design

took a skid, nailed plywood to the top of it and proped it up with a couple 4x4 bits. works uber well

and that is lexan on the box...i got it from a rink

i am using synthetic grass for spead instead of snow, but how much speed will i need to get on to a 3 foot high rail???how big should the starting ramp be and how will i make it? does synthetic grass slide well??

its on a hill...you just cant tell from the pic...and you dont realy need a starting ramp unless its flat....we just pole wipe the smaller guys and i just pole plant and push along
