Just got a pvc tube for my backyard setup. Does anyone have any ideas for how to make it less slippery? I was thinking maybe sanding it down with sandpaper, has anyone tried this before?
 
Pvc is def more slick than metal..just how it is. You probably have to adjust your stance when on the rail to grip a little more with your edges

Yeah pvc is pretty slippery. If the pipes are dry and its a bit warmer they might be a bit slower but there isn't much you can do. At least for me, I think riding pvc stuff in my backyard makes me better in the park because on pvc if your stance isn't good you will slip and fall which is not fun but I would rather fall on a pvc pipe in my backyard than a metal tube in the park.
 
It might be a coating on the pipe, maybe take a piece of metal with a edge and scrape it off, or it will come off after a couple of times using it.

Where did u get the pvc, and what did u use to hold it up? We just got about 2 feet of snow in NJ so I'm looking to build something
 
I "borrowed" it from a construction site by my house. Pulled up after hours and politely asked the nonexistent workers if I could take it home with me. We got 2 feet of snow here in PA too so I just threw it down in my backyard and built a mini lip on it. Its pretty heavy so I didn't really have to build around it to keep it in place
