Do they work good? I have a ton of PVC pipe, but unless the angle is perfect, the edge is gonna catch, and Ill be fucked. How do you make it work? I dont have any metal pipes.

no, you get a rear wheel drive car, and do a donut, and punt them across the street with the tail of the car. that's how to do it with ghetto bling bling steeze.-Bangor

ironicly enough i went skiing today, just some urban shit, and we had 2 rails made of pvc, its alright but kinda har to attach it to the base without it cracking, i went to grind it and it broke, so we slid wood all day.

your a dumbass if you crack PVC. i have made 2 rails out of PVC which involved drilling 8 pvc pipes 4 times each..so i drilled 32 holes never cracking one. get four 1/2 inch pvc pipes and drill them into a 2x4. take a drill bit and drill a hole in the top of the pipes in 4 places..then take a screw, put it down into the holes and out the bottom into the 2x4..easy enough. just build your frame before you put the pvc on.

i wasnt the one who actually built them my friends did and i think they did a pretty damn good job if they only had a hammer and nails. im not hardcore in to building pvc rails because id rather use metal ones.

but dude, if your poor like me and my buds and only have one pair of skis you dont want to ruin the edges slding a practice rail.

if your making a backyard rail def go for the pvc it saves your edges. Its alot cheaper than metal too.

ya i just got done making a thirty foot long pvc rail and it worked reely well, you just have to sand it down and it works better if its snowing and wet out

hold up bagwell just took a massive shit in the hall

not even reading the thread pvc NO NO NO NO NO NO

'do i look gullable to you , or even a gulla-calf?'

me and my friend built a pvc rail. itll work fine you just have to drill straight through it to attach it. they wont last long though.

Also not reading the thread

But ull scrape the shit out of the rails with ur edges. you'll get one or too attempts at a slide and the 'rail' will be trashed...along with ur face, and nuts

BAD BAD BAD idea

yah, last season i was at a park doin some jibs, and some kids brought a fucking massive pvc pipe, it was really thick, it worked fine, but it was really slick.

I kinda likve pvc.. it's extremely cheap (or free, you can find it at pretty much any construction site), it slides fast and hurts less to fall on. it's easy to attach (just drill some holes and screw through them, then fill the holes in with putty or something). we made a 20 foot rail last year, and it was alot of fun... just yeah, you can catch an edge on it if they're too sharp

yes, pvc works quite well.

PVC rails where did they all go?

I don´t remember the last time I saw a PVC rail in a park.

well, the thing is, real parks can (usually) afford metal and really nice things. when you're just screwing around in your backyard, you can make a nice pvc rail for like 20 bucks, whereas the same rail in metal would be hundreds. metal is a luxery rail. for poor slackers like myself, at least.

PVC works really well or at least the ones that I have, I never have to angle my skis or anything for them.

Pvc rails are so eay to slide though cause your back edge hold into the pvc better the metal. If you land with ur weight a little back on metal you bust your ass but on pvc your fine but for a cheap back yard rail they are great I have two
