i was thinking about building a pvc rail any tips or comments would help.

PVC isn't a good idea. It's a REALLY soft plastic, so your edges will dig RIGHT in no matter how dull they are.

Gotta stick with steel.

don't take that as a "tip" either, take it more as a requirement. You will be wasting your time with PVC.

old bed frames are good scrap steel... we ditched our old bed-frame rails at baker like 4 years ago, maybe they're still up there!

pvcs fine if your messing around, might break after awhile if you come down hard though.

i used a pvc rail for a while works fine, just gets sticky after a while, wax it

not sure, ive seen people grind a steel rail at hood in the summer

if it does get sticky just go get some pam and there u have it slip and slide
