PVC rail wax

I just built a pvc rail with 2 small pipe across a 2x4. I was wondering how to wax and maintain. I read that candle wax works but I don't know how I would put that on without it getting into clumps and slowing me down.

i dont even wax my pvcs anymore, but at first i did with candles. you literally just take a candle and scrape it along the pvc, it wont clump up and any bits that are left on the rail arent gunne make you stick or anything like that. honestly its not even necessary as long as the rail is wet or its cold outside

PErsonally I've always found pvc to slide really smooth if your edges are dulled. I've def shaved in a few times and gotten broke but never really had a problem sliding pvc. If it's summer throw a little snow on it to keep it wet.

I really don't know that much about pvc and it's been easily 6 years or so since I've even hit one but I always remember is having a kind of weird but fast slide to it.
