PVC DOWN RAMP

im planning out my summer jib set and i dont really want to spend a lot of money on it so i was planning on making my down ramp out of pvc putting them horizontal to the ramp and at 0.5 ft intervals. i have a 19 ft ill in my back yard but it only drops 2 1/2 feet so im planning on building a 3 foot base at the top of the hill to make a 5 1/2 foot starting height. has anyone ever tried this or have any ideas to improve this before i start building? im really wondering if ill have enough speed to be able to get all teh way through a 10-15 ft rail... any thoughts are great, thanks!

heres a quick pic i made in paint for a little reference http://www.flickr.com/photos/27770056@N05/2592348370/

thats what i did, if you rub some wax on the PVC's and keep them wet, they'll slide really fast, and make sure you put a couple feet of turf in the transtion and on the jump, otherwise you wont have any control.

how steep is that hill and how long is your rail? i was planning on making my starting height higher fo more speed but does that little hill really get you going fast enough to hit the rail at a good speed?

/\/\/\/\//\\//\/\ and that second post -thanks man i searched all last night i dont know how i missed that thread

he wasnt even a member yet when that other thread was made, and who gives a shit anyway, its a good idea so why not bring it up again, i could say you all copied me, i had pictures up of it before either thread was made, but who fucking cares
