Anyone knows a canadian online store who sells pv-gs500 at a reasonable price ?

or any USA even though im not sure about it because of duties and things i dont wanna pay like 200$ unknown fees (i got bad experiences with it)

i got this link http://cgi.ebay.ca/PANASONIC-PV-GS500-3CCD-CAMCORDER-ENORMOUS-KIT-GS500_W0QQitemZ300239810796QQihZ020QQcategoryZ20332QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But i really doubt of it, anyways if anyone can help me finding a nice online secure store to buy a gs500 or any equivalent at same average price just tell me please

with love, Ambiance

Thanks for the link man !

one thing is: how the fuck do i get to know how much it cost for dutie/brokerage ? because im kinda trying to figure out how much its gonna cost before buying..my budget is kinda thight

also: whats the difference between the used version and brand new (i mean i know its used, but how used is it, like is it all scratched up or its just like outta the box) if any of you guys bought used stuff on b&H

well, Im american so I have no idea what your talking about with those fees, and im not sure of the quality of the used, but it says its 9/10 shows signs of use but very clean.. not sure what that means but I doubt its going to be in bad condition, b and h is very legit and im sure they arent going to send you trash.

Thanks ! if anyone else have informations about how to calculate duties/brokerage and also about the used thing...just tell

im not sure if theres really a way to calculate brokerage, i could be wrong.... but like ive had lots of packages and some have been charged like $75, other times ive been charged nothing..

if you are getting it airmailed to you in canada, then you might not have to pay duties, i bought a pair of hellbents a couple months ago from SLC, and had to pay around 80dollars extra at the border to get my hands on them, my friend bought Atomic Thugs, and they came from the EC, shipped thru montreal before coming to Vancouver, and he had to pay no brokerage fees. both pairs of skis were bought for around 400.

^ Yea, they're both pretty much the best consumer cameras out there, GS500 being standard def and HV20 HD

if you do buy from BH Photo Video, you'll still end up paying GST and PST fees but if you choose UPS expedited or the faster one (3-4 days or 1-2 days), you shouldn't have to pay brokerage fees. so place your order and get a tracking number, when you see the package is on the truck, call UPS and choose the brokers option, then ask them to break down the COD fees, there should only be GST and PST (depending on where you live), plus duty depending on where the item is manufactured. IF there is still brokerage fees, ask the person to remove them because with expedited or the other option (1-2 days), there should be NO brokerage fees.

i'm still not sure about what you wrote after like 10 readings, i mean, i know the general idea but the steps arent clear, if you can help me more by adding precisions to your tip it would help me a lot !

thanks though
