i just copped a new whip today but I dont know much about cars or tires or rims. I want 18's and good tires so you car kids out there , what is good to get thats not too expensive?
 
its called leave it stock because snow salt doesnt like big rims, thats why you never see fiddy drving in the snow

get steel rims and snow tires for the winter then, cause you use rims in the winter,

1. Drivability goes down

2. Salt will eat away t your precious rims

dank-nasty, heres the trick. get chrome ass marijuana leaf spinners from wal mart and dont get rims because the salt will eat away at them.

but i like the rims you posted. get them after winter.

there are too many rims and too many good places to buy them, its very hard to narrow it down.

but, i wouldnt throw blacks on a white car. 18s are a legit size though.

go with some gun-metal or silver rims.

im surprised you personally wouldn't go with chrome though. haha

 
rims and tires will run you a couple grand without any hookups or discounts etc... since no one has even answered the initial question
 
jsut don't get chrome and the salt won't kill them, alloys are good all year round, i got some black 20's on my suv though
 
word homie.  I got an rims on mine, just make sure you scrub the shit outta em like weekly if you want to keep them nice.  Also take em off before winter.  Look at like ASA for really like dirt cheap good looking rims.  Tire wise i would suggest asking someone.  I put kuhmo on mine, z rated(wont explode at speed) and you will probably want an all season tire rather than a summer or race one just because it is a jetta that your putting it on.
 
from my experience Kumhos were noisy as hell....but yeah look at discounttire.com....they have some pretty decent deals for tires
 
yeah bro u gotta get those z-rated rims so you can street race through residential neighborhoods with impunity without having to worry that the savage, untamed power of your jetta will cause your rims to fly apart.

Seriously... just leave it stock. Almost every single jetta I've seen with aftemarket stuff on it looks stupid, and makes the guy inside it look like a goddamn clown. I keep worrying that 20 wiggers are going to pop out of the trunk and beat the shit out of me because I can't stop laughing.
 
go to car domain and look at different wheel models/sizes. Tire rack has a nice option that will put a wheel o nyour car so you can see what it will look like. Make sure you get the right bolt pattern, otherwise youll feel like a dumbass when they dont fit. Also get a performance tire, and put some snow tires on your stock wheels.
 
Well what kind of rims are you looking for, what price range are you looking for, what season are you gonna run them in, what kind of tires do you want on them, are they going to be a track wheel?

You have so many options its not even. Volk, Gram Lights, Work, BBS, OZ , Momo, American Racing,etc.......like dude give us a better idea then just a picture.

personally i'd rather get a system for a car like that. i have a silver 1.8t jetta and i'm working on getting a sub for the trunk. shit would cost like a g but i'd rather have people be able to hear me before they see me. not like young jibbs though, he sucks.
 
i already got nuvi navi system and ordered a sub... i dont know why your all hating on nice tires and rims. the stock ones look real gay to me
 
if you do get rims, get black ones. especially on that car, it would look so dope. black rims are pimp as fuck.
