You know, a thread like this can be looked at as an awesome lesson.

Its easy for a lot of people to look at newschoolers and say "man that place is just a bunch of hating shithead children".

Personally I feel this is a shallow view of the truth.

YES - sometimes in web forums people get angry. Look at TGR (www.tetongravity.com) - probably some of the grumpiest, angriest motherfuckers on the internet. Young? No.

Look at this thread... Tim D. Hot shit right now. Good skier, totally mellow dude. At some point in his youth did he get mad at something and post it on the internet? YES! But jesus... its all good.

Two lessons to be learned here:

1) People on newschoolers grow up to be awesome.

2) Newschoolers never was "better in the old days" - people still hated on others and slayed hate in the forums.

Conclusion?

Newschoolers rules. We had Tim D posting before he was anyone.

I live in michigan and theres a SHIT ton of skiers who have full sponsers, get everything for free, but honestly couldnt grab a 7 for their life and barely 270 on to a rail. could of been a deal like that maybe he knows some reps good idk any pros sponsered by line and sessions.

What I'm always trying to point out with these things is people always say 'back in the glory days of NS' and thats a false assumption. We're always living in the glory days, we just look backwards with rose-colored glasses.
