no not the good kind. the blubbering wussy kind. reading some schmuck;s thread in here made me think how much I loathe people who don't have at least a respectable amount of courage/backbone/toughness. like I immediately lose a fair amount of respect for someone who's afraid to take any risk whatsoever. Ive done a lot of reckless shit but I am still alive. but I am not talking about looking down on anyone who has less balls than me, but if you dont take risks or can't put up with a little unpleasantness for two seconds, your life must totally suck.
case and point, on a trip to tremblant I got jumped in an alley by two locals in montreal on new years. i was too drunk and high to put up any sort of fight, but I escaped without surrendering any of my possessions and miraculously not even a bruise from the beating I took. a few minutes later I ran into this kid with a bloody nose. now I don't mean to sound anti-semetic but this kid was the most stereotypical nebbish jewish kid I have seen. just looked incredibly weak.
anyways he was crying and looked to be in a mix of shock/drunkeness. I asked him if he needed help and he hysterically blubbered that he had gotten jumped. he just kept saying "why did he hit me?" ignoring his complete ignorance of human nature, I offered to help. I told him there was a mcdonalds a block away that he could go to to use the bathroom and clean himself up.
I then realized it may well have been one of the few times he had ever drank in his life, because he could barely walk. so I walked him, basically carrying him, down the street. He asked me to stop and walked up to a car, and started taking blood from his nose and smearing it on the window, while the owner of the car watched. I apologized to the guy and told the kid that was a bad idea, and hauled him away.
then we ran into 2 cops. they asked if he was OK. knowing that he was in no condition to speak to the police since he could barely form a sentence, I told them he got in a fight and was fine, but just needed to clean up.
the kid then pushed me and said "get the fuck out of here." i said fine and left to go enjoy the rest of new years. this kid was the biggest pussy I met. I even wanted to beat him up after just five minutes around him. also he repaid my kindness by being a dick, which is also really lame.
