Pure park skis

Ice coast 0 pow, what pure park skis are actually good. I hear trash talked about almost every brand.

Armada snaps, line is made in china, etc

I currently ski k2 sights and they got wrecked from hiking rails all day.

Any insight or recommendations would be appreciated.

Poachers have a great rep for durability, and I’ve had two pairs of armada skis last 100+ days in the park but that’s anecdotal.

talking to guys at my local shop out of the big brands Tom Wallisch pros get the most warranty claims, poachers the least, and every other park ski gets relatively few claims (including chronics).

I feel like all of my evedence is anecdotal but someone I was talking to said that his chronics got wrecked.

Doesn't hitting a rail void your warranty?

For most brands yes. If you’re really concerned about durability ball out and get some indie skis like ON3P or Fatypus but they will still break eventually

I just need something that will last 2 seasons, I've heard good and bad about armada, what do you think

Get on3p or fatypus loved my mangos gonna try the l toro this season

The L toro is a sweet ski. 101mm waist and super buttery, but still performs well all over the hill. would definitely be a good option for park though. I'm on the l toro currently and I ski jay peak/gore. pretty much don't take anything else to the hill unless we get a few inches of fresh, then I'll grab something with a little more rocker. They also have a ski called the d root. 92mm waist and an insane amount of pop. Unfortunately it's sold out atm but if you can cop a pair next year then definitely do it.

Whether you get 2 seasons out of a set of skis is entirely on you and how you ski. Every brand is going to have flaws, some more than others, but if you're going to be banging your skis off rails then you'll probably be best getting something other than armada. Some people say they've had zero issues and others blow their sidewalls out 2nd day out, it's the risk you run with mass produced skis. Small, independent brands are going to run on the expensive side but the quality of the final product is leagues better than mass produced. spend the extra money and support brands like moment, on3p, fatypus etc, it's definitely worth it

Does surface and Vishnu fit this category.

as far as independent ski brands yeah. I can't speak to their durability or how they ride. I know there's some recent threads on gear talk regarding surface and there's plenty of people on here who ride V's so they would be better at answering specific questions

Faction Prodigy 1 is sweet for groomers and fully park too. Not 100% symmetrical but the diff is 8mm narrower on the tail.

Im really happy with mine the spins come so natural now

vishnu wet/key

For an independent brand, no ones mentioned moment yet. The frankenski is a pure park beast and I love it. better durability than line/armada, more in line with on3p type companies.
