A Forcefield Pro L2 Back Protector brand new in box.

Worth about £90 (though commonly knocked down to £80)

I bought it for £53

I have never understood the padding in skiing, other than a helmet. They must restrict mobility, and I think falling on that would do more harm than good.

Is this for park skiing, or BC?

Thats what I was asking. I know of people on here who wear this in the park, along with knee, elbow, hip, and shin pads. For park, completely unacceptable. If you are falling that much, hit up the groomers and and work on your technique. for BC, thats completely different.

Mobility restriction may be one disadvantage, but that disadvantage is nothing compared to the disadvantage you would have if you broke your back. Spine protection is probably helpful when you're tumbling over things, cartwheeling and ragdolling down steeps, etc.

I bought it for learning new things. I know a girl that broke her back last year falling backwards on a rail. Ouch. Ruined her season.
