Punx vs Urban Punx

alright so ive got an opportunity to get some real good prices on a pair of skis through my shop which only sells atomic skis so i was wondering which would be better.... I'm 6'0" about 200 pounds but not fat and i would like a ski mostly for rails and stuff since i dont really have that big of jumps at my mountain i was thinking either a 175 in urban punx or 182 in punx because i dont want the extra swing weight of a 184 which is the other urban punx size and the extra distance to true nose grabs and stuff... i already have 181 t-halls for jumps and stuff so if u could give me your input it would be great... thanks

alright well ive basically narrowed it down to the urban punx... now what size... i feel like i will overpower the 175s but they will be more jib, rail friendly which is what i want because i ski at a very very small east coast mountain that the only thing to do is ski park... the other option is the 184s which i feel might be too long for the type of skiing i do at my home mountain but good for other mountains but i think i might just get the 175s for rails and jibs and then have my 181 t-halls for jumps and bigger stuff. Yay or nay?

Seriously, without any exageration, I,ve been using my punx since I've got them and tehy have been my urban/ rail skis since I mounted them.

I havent cracked an edge and I can definatly say they are a bombproof rail/jib ski.

there is no way you'r gonna enjoy riding the 175 urban cause tehy wont be able to support your weight during presses and tehy are not made for someone over 175 pounds. You might get them bent ( rockered) if you land backseet a couple times at 200 pounds.

That being said, the 182 punx are super light and you wont feel the weight difference between the 175 UP and the 182 punx since there is none or almost none. As I said before, these skis are my do anything sksi when I feel like riding the park.

I think you should either think 184 U-P if youre into jumping huge stuff (not in east coast) or the 182 pure park-jib skis (in my opinion)

and center mounted 182 feels like a 175 mounted minus 3 from center.. (both u-p and punx are made to be centermounted)

^^^ thanks man thats exactly what i was looking for... i liked that idea from the beginning but then kinda started liking the urban punx because i like the graphics better and figured they mighta been softer and stuff but i think thats what i'll do

The urban punx are going to be too soft for someone your size unless you arnt doing much but rails
