im looking into buying a ski for 2012 and narowed my choices down to the atomic punx or armada ar7s. do you kno any specific details of this ski or any oher skis. im 5'4 140 pounds

i am going to give you my thoughts on the ar7 i have never rode the punx, i have this years ar7 which is going to be the same as next years design wise and it is a great ski the ar50 sidewall is the best thing since metal edges on skis, it makes the swing weight so amazingly light, the flex pattern is pretty neat and it is nice and stiff underfoot for stomping those big landings.
as far as the punx go they are a great ski from what i have heard very durable but i think the ar7 is going to have it beat because the punx has a full sidewall which makes it slightly heavier. i would go ar7 imo.

alright thanks. and any suggestions for bindings on the ar7? and do you kno of any other skis that are good just out of your opinion?

i have px 12 jibs and love them, you want something where the heel piece comes close up to your leg like marker or look, that reduces swing weight because it is closer to your foot. i am biased towards armada so i can recomend the t-hall is super playfull if you arent going to be hitting big jumps. vokl is putting out some good park skis, next years wall's should be nice. and the punx are another good durable park ski.

alright. do you have any specific reccomendation for skis like walls, ar7 or punx? usually im hitting big jumps and boxes rails at times if i feel like it also

I tried my friend punx and they are very nice, but he ski the 164cm and im 5,10... Since you are a small guy the punx will be better fo pure park imo. And the ar7 will destroy everywhere, nice sidecut and nice technologie, i didnt tried them.

the swing weight is heavier. your biased towards atmoic you work there haha, in all fairness i am biased towards armada as well.

probably griffons cuz i have a brand new pair of griffons on my liberties now so ill probably just take them off of there and put them on the ar7. and which is better for rail ar7 or punx?

I found Punx to be the lightest ski I ever skied on. Felt like I had snowblades on my feet.
Problem was that I got full rocker pretty quick, we are talking 2 weeks of skiing, edgepull in the tail from banging my skis together. Became softer than Abangs. No edgecracks since I barely touched any rails with them. A friend of mine got over 10 in just 3 days.
I had no problems throwing 7s on small bumps. I never tested ar7 but I don't think anything beats Punx in lightness.
