ive that all the skiers met listen to rap. i was just wondering if there are any skiers out there who listen to punk? not that greenday or my chemical romance shit, but like the classics, like the misfits, black flag, bad brains and shit like that

I feel like there's one of these threads once a month, everyone gets stoked on it, four posts are made in the punk music cult, and then it all dies out again.

nofx is fuckin dope. I saw the misfits a little over a year ago on mischief night, soo fucking sick. Old school blink, like chesire cat and buddha old. rancid and anti flag are good too

they have sooo many albums. check them all out, trust me. I was first row at their show at warped tour a couple years ago and out of all the bands i've seen they were the best. By far my favorite band

One of these threads pop up about every 6 months... Someone makes a thread wondering who listens to punk and it usually gets to about 2 or 3 pages of people posting lists of their favorite punk bands and maybe a few youtube videos.

NOFX is legittttt.

Social Distortion, Black Flag, Bouncing Souls, Evergreen Terrace shit like that just makes me so stoked on life.

Also the fact that GG Allin could not have existed in any other musical genre aside from Punk shows how awesome it is.

And for some reason the rest of my post didn't show up....
Punk is dead. But yes I love punk music. One of my favorites:

You would be surprised at how many non-rap listeners there are on NS. Ther have been many threads, on metal and indie bands as well. I think this is the first time I see punk though. Anyways, in my opinion it is all good music.

Descendents, Social D, Op Ivy, Total Chaos, Minor Threat, The Distillers, Black Flag, Pennywise, Misfits, TSOL, The Partisans, The Unseen, The Virus, Global Threat, The Addicts, Ramones, to bad punk will never be the same it once was in the 80's

Oh and fuck dubstep, that not music

Yeah, there a few true bands out there still living out the tradition, but punk as a genre is dead. Of course "punk" could never die though; it's a state of mind.

Anyway, I posted two Distillers videos but NS is evidently retarded tonight because they're not showing up. Oh well.

I do too... just not lil' wayne bullshit rap. Cunninlynguists and the Sound Providers for example are amazing. But this thread is about punk so you guys go ahead and talk about that.

Didn't see any Casualties, Leftover Crack, or Star Fucking Hipsters love in here!
People always get mad at me when I play punx, but fuck them. Down the 40s.

Old school AFI please and thank you. And Dead Kennedys and crusifix and stuffs. I have to be in the mood definitely though.
ps, this isn't music/static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png
