Punk Rock and Church

Can someone please explain this to me? Some kid in my english class gave a speech on his church and moshing. I don't understand this new wave of religion where they use entertainment and all that to attract the younger crowd. I went to Catholic School for 7.25 years and it isnt untill recently that I see churches with skateparks and punk rock concerts and mosh pits. It is all just really weird and I look to NS for answers.

Sounds like a terrible way to convert kids to religion to me. If they're right about their beliefs they should have no trouble attracting people.

they're just trying to attract the youngins to get them to go to church. but if the kids truly believed in their religion and were true christians, they wouldn't need incentive like that to get them to go.

It is a tactic to get kids to come to church, but not to make them believe it. A lot of the people they try to attract arent old eneough to decide for themselves yet, they want to expose them to the materail so its an option for them when they get older.

Why don't most people go to church? Because its boring. I can believe in God all I want and it isnt going to change the fact that most churches are really boring. This gives people a reason to go to church and an alternate way to worship.
