alright i agree its fun to shit on people, but lay off the fuckin emo kids already. yeah there are a ton of posers out there who deserve to have their colons torn out and fed to my dog, but there are a lot of people that feel the music and can relate to it. i relate to emo just as well as i relate to hatebreed (remember my face when i gouge out your eyes!) but fuck yeah emo girls kick ass

EMO kids piss me off, its like the current trend invading our world. Its as much a fashion statement as someone who only wears Abercrombie. Emo has moved more from the music and to the whole look and act. First of all emo kids unless edge should not use X every other letter in email, aim, or wear X marked shirts. If you pay 40 bucks for a vintage t-shirt you should be shot. If you pay 40 bucks for a t-shirt for a shirt made to look vintage you should be beaten. If you can sing every word to every dashboard song you should be hung. Hell just dont be emo, well unless you are female then you are hot as hell. Its just something about the emo look guys love, impossible to explain but its there. Of all emo people I hate people that become emo because they think it is the cool new thing to be. I remember in junior high all the cool kids wanted to be whiggers, then they became hip hop warriors a few years later, then graduated as skaters...hell i bet they are emo now. I like all forms of music from bands like Death Threat and The Hope Conspiracy to the Rites of Spring to The Smiths. But I dont try to fit a mold or an image, and also dont try to act some way cause its part of that image.

really? it's cool to be emo? ok cuz I started listening to dashboard confessional after the first time I heard them on the radio. is that necessarily a bad thing? I can play a lot of his songs on the guitar. I like the music because it's legitimetly GOOD music. I'm sure there are many people that you're labeling that are like me and see it as good music. I really don't like half of the emo music out there. I like bands, not genres.

I don't know. I think it's just it's time. Everyone is really sad about everything for the most part. People sort of have the same emotions right now. and some good music is being made that talks about it. Call it emo or whatever. I was listening to DC and everyones calling it Emo punk. I don't care what it is as long as it's good.

I am a Smiths fan and so are my best friends. Ya a lot of what River Ripper sais is full of truth but people like to jump into categories, people want to have something to be apart of and be under a label, in this case it is emo. I know plenty of kids who like doing the vintage tees of ebay, the thick black framed glasses, the dickies, the converse shoes, the tight sweaters, and the messenger pack who know plenty of music and like it all. In fact I know one such kid that has all of the said clothing and hates 'emo' as a genre. Bitching about comformity may help a little, but in the end there are always going to be posers. The best thing to do is get along with them and do your own thing, ya I advocate being yourself too, but not to the point where it just pisses people off, ya I could care less about pissing certain people off but it is their place to do what they are going to do, whether it is be taoist and be nothing but themselves, or to get that emo stuff when they heard Dashboard on the radio.
