Ok, lets just start by saying that this movie rocks, kicks ass, and is one of my favorites, alright? good, now all you little 14 yr olds are spared from seeing the title of this thread and just going and saying, 'yeah, ive seen that movie, its pretty good.'

Has anybody seen a version with directors commentarry on it or are there any theories on what it is in the suitcase? i really have no clue and i cant really pick out any hints about what it is except for it might be like a key to the gates of hell. i only say that cause the code is 666, haha, yeah though, anybody know or have any thoughts?

Hot Carl has it correct (great name by the way) it has Marsallas's soul, that is why it is bright and shiney, and that is why he has a band-aid on the back of his neck, that is where they extract the soul from.

In those old religous novels, such as the Divine Comedy, the Devil extracts the soul from the back of one's neck.

Also, when Jules and Vincent are holding the suitcase, and that guy shoots at them, they don't get hit because they are holding the soul.

noooo, cause even if you do order the movie right, the first time Vincent opens the case is in the first scene, of the movie sequentiall and how it was finally arranged. But holy shit!....

I was just sitting in bed, probably still a little drunk from lastnight and... the soul thin makes perfect sense, if what you say is true about the back of the neck!!! Jules puts it best when they're talking about Mia getting a foot massage and he says something like 'throwing a dude outta a window and fuckin up the way a nigga talks (blah blah blah) isnt worth some dude givin his wife a foot massage.' ok, that came out all wrong but what im saying is that that line is indicating that what Tony Rocky Horror did, was something really really fucked up.
