hopefully, arnt they like 70 dollars. I think there tight because of the grips. I'm going to see if you can buy the grips anywhere.

yeah, switch_9s just blew up. they are all in little pieces and stuff, cause they are just an ugly stik fishing pole. i duct taped it to his arm on the shuttle down the mtn the day he broke it

mine haven't breaked yet.. never broke a pole in my live, not looking forward to my first time either.. there very soft

i've never broken a pole either, but i don't really beat them up too bad. i did bend one of my Kerma aluminum poles, but it didn't break. now i just use a set of Goode composite poles that i found at Bear Creek. they're awesome.

 
^ btw, i just realized that it may sound like i stole them...i didn't. it was like 11:15 at night and we were closing up the rental shop and looking for rental equipment that people left laying around and they were under the deck. i went to guest services and they have the model and description so if anyone lost them, just go there and claim them and i'll be happy to give them back. but yeah, long 2 posts.

 
my poles are bent to shit, got em free better than 70$ pe poles...

actualy carbon poles are really nice. Usualy, when they bend, they snap right back to shape. They are flexible. BUT, if you go way too far(you REALLY need to bend em) they shatter and explode.

the only reason i got my pe poles was just because i picked them up for only $25. The first day i used them though both powder baskets had fallen off even before lunch. i was so pissed.

don't blame the poles for powder baskets coming off. Powder baskets aren't very durable, they always fall apart. Unless you get some wicked old school hardened leather ones, but those are really hard to find these days.

i don't see what the big deal about poles is anyways...i just grab whatever's lying around and ski with it. actually, i don't think i've ever spent more than 20-25 bucks CDN on poles. but hey, that's prob because i don't feel like breaking an expensive pair of poles
