PTEX patch help

hey I'm replacing a big section of ptex in the tip of my ski, i know how to do it all but the patch i have (piece of base material) has one side that is smooth and one that is a little rougher. I'm thinking the smooth side is facing out but idk...HELP MEEEE

yes i know i posted this in gear talk too but i need a quick response so yeah...sorry
 
I used PTEX to fix some of the deep scratches in my bases at the beginning of the year and mine just had two smooth sides, so I'd just use the smooth side if I were you
 
ptex is only useful for deep scratches that dont breach the core. if anything under the base is exposed you have to take it to a shop to get a weld as ptex candles or sheets wont bond to the core
