are you serious? While writing my thesis, every single biology paper I used made sure to include what stats program they used to do their statistical analysis. And these are just the journals I used for writing my thesis, so it obviously only represents a small portion of the journals out there.
I can't speak for other sciences, but I know when I was writing/reading anything in biology, you would include what stats program you used.
Functional Ecology
Journal of Applied Physiology
The Journal of Experimental Biology
Current Biology
The Journal of Animal Ecology
American Journal of Physiology
American Zoology
Science
BioScience
The Biological Bulletin
Respiratory Physiology
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology
Journal of Comparative Physiology
Canadian Journal of Zoology
Crustaceana
Journal of Applied Physiology
Animal Behavior
Evolutionary Ecology Research
Respiratory Physiology and Neurobiology
So to say that legitimate scientific journals don't list their stats program is ridiculous, at least in the biological field.
