harvey...what algorithm do you use to encrypt your passwords into your sql table? just curious...i have better things to do that break into anything, iv'e just been taking classes on it so i'm curious (god i hope you encrypt shit or i'll have a field day)

what difference does it make? usualy on apahe and using php/sql, he's probably using md5 or just an encryption algo which is already into php that works pretty good.

So if it's not encrypted, then you don't have better things to do?

Because the site was initally coded in Perl, we used DES-based encryption.

davinci...i'm not being rude (some kid already accused me of that like 50 times already today), but integrated algorithms aren't always the best. (md5 is a hash...mmm hash)

cuz with crypt() on php, you can encrypt with standard DES or bl0wfish which are safe encryption algorymths.
