sooo, who's droppin for the playstation portable? find the networking thing handy? any comments on the damned thing?

i actually had money already to spend on one, because the idea of playing PS2 games and watching ski movies on road trips on something that small for that cheap sounded sick, however, fuck that, it will only play PSP games (no PS2 or PS games) and it wont play DVDs only SOny's new DVD replica thing called UMD... so fuck that I am not spending $200 to have no good games or movies...

no ps2 games... you can watch or listen to anything you can rip onto your computer. i just picked mine up, not the wisest financial move right now, but entertainment ya know.

i may get one...actually probably not but you can put stuff from your computer on the psp disk?

yea i deffinetly wont jsut cause i already have a playstation and a digital dvd player...and have never been into portable video game players..i also heard that the battery time is terrible

pretty much their gonna put alot of ps2 games on it, but you cant play the ps2 games themselves on it. i want one of these, but i know i wont use it for much after like the first month of enjoyment. when i had a gameboy i cirtanly didnt use it much. if i was in europe and had like a train commute i would buy one.

you can buy them and extra umd's which hold like 1.8 gigs of crap on each, then you can get psp 9 or somethin which is a program where you save what you want onto the umd's using the psp as teh burner deal...the whole thing turns out to be pricey though....theres an article on them on msn.com rightnow

 
I use to love Game Gear the only reason it didnt sell as well as the gameboy althoug it was superior in almost every way (color, backlit, better graphics, ect) was because it wasnt really portable. the bateries didnt last long enough to use on a road trip or something like that.

If you guys buy a PSP make sure to buy it at a store. buying it online might be pretty risky because sony used faulty screens so they are either messed up out of the box or get messed up after a while of use. if you got it at a store you can just trade it in for a new one. or you can wait for the revised version in a month or so.

 
i copped one, and it's by far the slickest portable device ever.

299CDN, which is fuck all...add about 150 for a 1gb MS Pro Duo and you've got a dope little portable media center for farrrrrr less than the iriver's and such.

you can't buy extra umd's. it's the memory stick duo's you can buy up to 1gig right now. i heard a 2 gig is in the works, but not a reliable source. the best program right now is actually a jap program, you just have to dig and set the language to english inside the program. it takes mp4 format for vids and mp3's also for music...
