PSP or iPod???

So im going to France in like a month and i was originally planning on buying an iPod for the long trip, instead of taking all my cd's and my huge ass cd player. Then i realized for about the same price I could get a freakin psp. Well obviously I thought the psp would be amazing but now i dont know. The games cost like $30-$40 a piece, movies like $20, and to get a big enough memory card to hold a decent amount of music is crazy expensive. But at the same time, its a freakin psp! So im not sure, I think i might be leaning back towards an iPod. Basically what i want to know is if anyone that has a psp could tell me if its worth it. Keep in mind that I'll be on like an 8-hour flight there and back. Thanks

psp for sure but the battery is kinda weak it lasts for like 5-6 hours, but you can get a plug to fit in the outlet and the charger can take 220 or 240amp or volts i forget. so you can charge it there too

^ what size memory card do u have? Doesnt it come with like a 32mb card or somethin and about how much would one of those hold. And another question for anyone who can answer... i've seen a couple ads for like an adapter thing that(i think) would allow me to use the cards i already have for my camera with the psp. I havent really seen any for sale anywhere though.

mine came with the 32mb an average song is a bout 3-4mb and a game save like tony hawk is like 200kb, and same for need for speed

WTF? I made two calls to apple cusomer service, and they hooked me up with a replacement ipod after the warrenty period and they got me a box in 2 days and a new ipod in 5 days. Considering I live in Montana and apple is in cali, thats pretty damn good. If that isnt good customer service, i dont know what is. For skiing, i have a shuffle so i dont destruct my 40 gb, which i use for school and traveling and unactive activities. I personally love the ipod line, and i dont understand why you would want a 5 song psp when a decent memory card will set you back more than the price of an Ipod.

psp. its got killer games for it. think about it. its better then the old playstation why wouldnt you get one? plus just take your old cd or minidisk player too for music.

just watch out if your stating in pairis or lyon or any other big city because they eill see wou with expensive stuff and thers a good chance fo you gettin pickpocketed. get little locks for your backpack too. but id say get the ipod but youll have to buy the differnt plug charger thing.

PSPs are pieces of shit. No one else uses those kinds of disks and you have to buy everything specifically for them. If you want to watch movies, buy a portable DVD player instead. PSPs are crap because if it somehow breaks or gets lost, you can’t use any of those special disks until you buy another one. And then you’ll be fucked when Sony stops making them. Out of those choices, I’d go for the iPod. In the long run, PSPs are just a waste of your money.

get an Ipod specially if you have a lot of music, i swer they are the greatest thing in the world, i dont go any where without mine, PSP is mainly for games not music

 
PSP's are sick, im really impressed with mine, you should get that and then if you really want music you can load it onto the PSp memory card

 
yea deffinatly go for an ipod just because its more durable the psp has a big as screen just waiting to be broken and if u dont want to spend much u can always buy a refubished ipod for like 100$ less

ipod, I have used PSPs and they get old after about an hour. Ipods never get old, so get one. Plus you won't be stereotyped as a nerd that way.

ive had an ipod for a year and a half. i left it in my hot car on the dash for 2 days and it fucked up. i sent it to apple and they gave me a new one. there customer support is rad and unless you personally do something, like drop it or leave it in a hot car nothings gonna happen.

hmm......did you ever have a nintendo? or xbox or ps2? the thing is MANLY a handheld council not a music play. yes it can do music but that is not its main function. so the question then becomes which would you rather have. tons of mucis or fun video games?

If you where touring Europe, why the fuck would you play videogames the whole time? You can do that at your house. It’s a great way to waste a trip. I’d go with the music. With and iPod, you can actually look at a world outside of a screen.

And I still think the PSP is a POS.

Im not planning on walking around playing video games, im not a loser like that. But it is an 8 hour plane ride, and i was thinking since i could listen to music on it, then i could just carry it around for the music.

More of u are saying iPod but at the same time i dont think one person that bought a psp has said anything bad about it. Also, two of my friends have iPods and they've both been fucking up lately and neither of em has had theres for more than 6 months. But, being the cheapass that i am, i'll probly just end up buying a mini ipod. I only have 1,045 songs on my comp and theres alot of those that i dont need so the 4g, which holds 1,000, should be fine and it will only run me like $200.
